DAY 1-10 APRIL 2011:     DEPART JOHANNESBURG – BUENOS AIRES
05H45:  On arrival at OR Tambo International Airport. Please make way to the South African Airlines check in desks to complete formalities for your flight to Buenos Aires.
09H45:  Depart Johannesburg on South African Airlines, flight SA 226.
16H15:  Arrive Buenos Aires.
On arrival in Buenos Aires, you will be met and transferred to your accommodation.
Equivalent to 3 stars hotel.
Dinner at local restaurant – within walking distance from the hotel.

DAY 2-11 APRIL 2011:     BUENOS AIRES
07H00:  Breakfast at the hotel.
09H00:  Today you will enjoy a half day city tour.
4 hours city tour. An elegant cosmopolitan city.
The tour will introduce the visitor to the beautiful parks and gardens of Palermo, the old quarters of San Telmo, the bustling banking and business centre and the historical Government House, Congress and the Recoleta Cemetery.



They will hear about the immigrants who came from Europe, the politics that swayed emotions, changed lives and became the theme of stories, music and theatre. An entertaining and interesting tour.
13H00:  Lunch at one of the local venues.
This afternoon will be the 1st Match Rugby, Netball and Hockey.
Return to the hotel.
19H00:  Dinner at a local restaurant, which will be within walking distance.

DAY 3-12 APRIL 2011:     BUENOS AIRES
07H00:  Breakfast at the hotel.
Excursion La Boca and Football Stadium.

DAY 4-13 APRIL 2011:     BUENOS AIRES
07H00:  Breakfast at the hotel.
In the morning Tigre & Delta Cruise: Drive through the fashionable riverside suburbs of Olivos, San Isidro, San Fernando to Tigre, with its gracious homes, weeping willows, open air restaurants and cafes, assorted food vendors, soap-box politics, this is the preferred “playground of the portenos”.



Continue by motor launch for a leisurely cruise along the waterways and islands of the delta. Cruise past turn of the century stone mansions, English cottages, Italian villas, little wooden shacks painted bright blue and green, ferries, crews practising in outriggers, lonely canoeists, rowing and yachts clubs.
13H00:  Lunch at a local venue.
This afternoon the second round of matches for Netball and Hockey.



19H00:  Dinner will be at a local restaurant, within walking distance.

DAY 5-14 APRIL 2011:     BUENOS AIRES
08H00:  Breakfast at the hotel.
Full day tour to Colonia del Sacramento in Uruguay
Transfer to the pier for a 45 minutes ride on a high speed Catamaran to Colonia del Sacramento. The city was founded in 1680 and has been recently declared a UNESCO world heritage.
Lunch is included.



Meeting at Colonia Port. Transfer to the Old City for starting with the city tour. Colonia is a small city founded by the Portuguese in 1680,  at a time when Spain and Portugal were in the midst of confrontations. For over a hundred years both Empires fought over it, until finally the Treaty of Saint Ildefonso awarded it to Spain. Today the Old City has a lot to say about its Colonial past. Visit the picturesque streets of Colonia del Sacramento, the eldest city in the country, recently declared World Heritage by UNESCO. The streets of Santa Rita, San Gabriel, the Matriz Church, San Pedro Road, the Bastion del Carmen, the famous “Calle de los Suspiros” (Street of Sighs) used so often as a scenery for historical films, Puerta del Campo, Plaza Mayor 25 de Mayo. The past can still be felt, in the cities cobblestone streets and stone walls. Colonia and complements its archaeological values with natural beauty, the permanent company of the Uruguay River and the emblematic monuments that stand out on the horizon, such as the cathedral and the lighthouse and very nearby, the Real de San Carlos bullring. Stop for lunch. Pm free time for walking around and 1:15 hs before ferry departure transfer back to Port.
Return to Buenos Aires via hydrofoil (45 minutes). Return transfers are included from the hotel to the pier.

This morning you will be transferred to Mar Del Plata.



Mar del Plata is Argentina’s premiere beach resort, offering 17 kilometres of beaches, sports fishing, colonial architecture, a university, sports, zoo, casino and lively nightlife plus a number of parks and gardens to tempt the visitor.

18H15:  Depart Buenos Aires International Airport on South Africa, flight SA 227.
